stock gen1-2 ranger steelies of the 14 inch variety..
after the "incident" ive been trying to come up with 3 good ranger steelies, well ive got a few of them, in diferent sizes..

i have 2 14x6 of an 1993 aerostar van, ones bent a little, holds air but wobbles slightly
then i have 2 14x5.5s i think both are bent....
next i have my spare rim, wich seems to be either a 5.5 or a 5.

my question is how many different sizes did these rims come in? i think i bought a 14x6 today, but it could of been a 5.5, it was set next to a 14 inch rim that was narrower.. im lost and confused... if my spare rim is the same size as the shorter 14 inch rim, then i got a set again, i'll just mount the spare on the wobbly 14x6...

are 14x6,14x5.5 and 14x5 sizes used on older rangers?

i thought the gen 1 rims only came in 14 or 15 inch. not certian about widths. on the rangers of that era 14's were on the 2wds, 15's came on the 4x4's. not sure about the areostars, that might be where the wider rims came into play. tire sizes are more common with the 15" rims. 5.5" width is what i think ive personally seen.

well, it seems like little SWB 4cyl gen1s have 5.5 width rims, and vans/ex-cabs/gen2 rangers had 6 width rims.. lucky for me i found one of each behind the local tire place. got 6s in the back and 5.5 in the front, time to paint them!! i'll take pics later, one the rims was pulled from a mud puddle so its a lil rough..

ok, im wrong, the 5.5 were 5, and the one i thought was a 6 is a 5.5..
so i got 2 5.0's, 1 5.5, 1 6.0... well, i got the 5s painted, how do they look as far as spray can jobs go?

not bad, is that the "chrome" spray paint cause i was thinking of doing my rims like that but dont think it would look right with the chrome center caps and chrome beauty rings.

And what is "the incident" lol just curious

its actually silver metallic spray paint, it looks like the factory silver these rims came with, its just that i got a crappy camera that never works right.. as for the incident.. well, having 2 of your dumbass buddies sitting with you goofing off, it was only a matter of time before someone bumps me out of 2nd gear going down a steep hill while turning...

jeez you had and incident with only 3 people in a Ranger, i use to run with 5 people in my regular cab lol and maybe a few in the bed. I think I had 6 in my reg cab f150 one day too.

wait a sec, your from arkansas, not mexico right? only way i can think of fitting 5 people in a std cab/5spd ranger is if someone has someone on there lap..

Lol i was actually born in southern texas and lived in middle texas for most of my life, i learned from the best

Gee the most I ever got into a reg cab Ranger was 4. I operated the clutch, brake and stearing and the next guy the gas and shifter 'cause i couldn't reach, The old gearbox took a beating the day.
