Well i wanna put a body lift and run 33x12.50r15's and was wondering if my stock gear ratio will work, or will i need to gear down. Secondly, what all do i have to do to gear down, do i buy actual gears and get them installed, or do they arrange them in a different configeration? I am completely new to gearing and there ain't much into on here about lit lol

It's possible you might have 4.10s... With the 4.0L V6, these should be OK (4.56 would be the ideal gear, but 4.10 is good enough to be adequate).

If you have 3.73 or taller though, then I would suggest regearing to 4.56 for your 33s.

The ring & pinion gears inside your axle are what get replaced. It's an intricate job requiring many special tools & knowledge. I'd certainly have a shop install them if you aren't familiar with it.
