can a lockright go into a 4.56 7.5 open and what needs to be trimmed

I had to trim the ring gear slightly when I did my 4 56 gear install in my 8.8. All you need to clearance is the corner of a couple teeth, just enough to get the cross pin to slide in. Do the gear install, and once its all together, you will see (it is very obvious) what needs to be clearanced. DO NOT get a notched cross pin, they are known to break, and are much weaker.
