gear mesh pattern???? what now!!

if it does it at light throttlle in high gear its probably gear whine and you need to start over. pattern didnt look very good to me at all

what kind of noise are you talking about, because i put it together and at certan speed you can hear a fant noise very faint like a howl or fant hmmm. its hard to explain. will it hurt if it makes noise

Yes, gear whine.

The problem I see with that drive pattern is the contact area on the tooth is very small with a lot of sharp points on it, which means the pressure on the teeth will be greater, possibly resulting in scoring of the gears, or even chipping of the teeth.

I definitely would be trying to get a better pattern on it if it were mine.
