First of all I just want to say this site is the shit! Thanks to everyone for their input.
1991 Extended Cab 2.9 5spd
Temp gauge and amp gauge dont move. Where can I look. I got a Haynes manual but really dont know what I am doing.(as far as diagnosing and fixing the problem)

And if it helps I dont know when they quit out. Were like that when I bought the truck.

I'd suggest you check the wiring first, if they don't work at all. Might have a short in one of the wires or a bad ground.

check fuses too....although i would think a bad fuse would wipe out all the (electrical) gauges.

theres nothing common between the 2 electrically, i say that its a coincedence that they both crapped out.
I say test the temp sensor first.
Then test the regulator on the alternator.

If both of those test good, i would say its the cluster.
