Hi I'm porting my heads on 98tm 4.0 ohv heads, just the heads ordered from j&c. I read in the porting article on the broncoiicoral website and it states you should not need to gasket match the exhaust ports. Just make them shiny, well as you can see these fel pro gaskets are way off! Anybody know of a gasket that actually covers around the port and not way off centered? Both gaskets are identical. And if not how far do I want to go with gasket matching, obviously I can't go all the way or I'd be taking way too much material off, maybe just match the exhaust manifold and the head ports? thanks

98tm heads have smaller 1.40" exhaust ports. the gasket kits are probably designed the fit all years, including the 90tm and 95tm heads which had larger 1.70" exhaust ports

Should I just match the head port with the exhaust manifold port then? And not worry about the crappy fitting gasket
