I'm about to put my friend's 88 ranger back together after a clutch and slave cylinder replacement. The transmission and t-case were litterally covered in oily dirt so we pressure washed them both.
However, I want to replace the old paper gasket that is between the transmission and transfer case. A few other threads said there is no gasket, just RTV, but I know for sure there is a gasket there because I saw it.
Anybody know what this is called? I can't find it on either of the exploded diagrams for the transmission or transfer case.

I'm not talking about the transfer case input shaft seal either, it's just a paper gasket that goes between the two units.
Thanks.
