It depends on the setup. Mine has a factory (looks factory anyway) receiver that is in the way and makes it a pain.
If that wasn't there I think it would be quite easy.

Skid plate, 4 bolts and that plastic skirt between bumper and body. Two tank straps and the filler hose.
What makes it hard is all the dirt falling in your face, forgetting that gas is ~8lbs a gallon, needing to unload the suspension slightly (the rear diff gets in the way). Or a hitch in the way.
