Gas prices?

$3.19 for diesel here and i have 37 gallons between the two tanks. Oh yeah and its winter which means i have to add supplements. on the bright side i do get 20 mpgs!

Gas prices around here spiked a few dimes more. Last time I filled up, it was $2.59 for E10 (the 90% unleaded & 10% ethonal blend). Now it is up to $2.79~$2.89 for E10. 100% unleaded is at or over $3.00. If filling up the gas tank starts to cost me $50, I'm going to start driving the motorcycle a lot more.

Got it for 2.859/g for real gas, E10 was runnin 2.899 in Stillwater yesterday.

Wow, the news said we are one of the lowest in the US right now and I just kind of brushed it off. I got gas for 2.65 yesterday, but it was the cheap stuff. If it goes that high, I might have to get something else. It will definitely say Ford on it though.

I have my Ranger which is a 4.0 (4X4), and a 2006 Escape which is a 2.3 liter 4 cylinder (2wd), and my Mustang which is a 5.0 V8. Of those 3, I get the best gas mileage from the Mustang. Go figure.

I'm going to keep mine if prices do hit $5.00 a gallon. Luckily I drive 10 miles round trip to and from work and having the 4 cylinder does help me out.

The old truck used to drink shell v-power religiously, I'd paid damn near that for it. Pretty happy this truck enjoys good old 87 octane:D

I guess living on an island makes fuel just that much more expensive that having it all shipped up north.

ya,every thing is more expensive.with a small population,a location that isn't on the way to anywhere, and needing everything to come in by air or water, you get used to paying big for everything.

btw...that price is regular,if you want premium you add octane booster.

That's true. I had a buddy that lived up in Old Crow, he said he was paying $4 for a can of pop when he left:shok:

In my infinite wisdom I completely forgot about the bike, all the fuel I save in the summer should more than cover the winter:headbang:

Check with the station you buy it at. In Buffalo, I load cold-flow diesel after December 1st for the stations so you don't need additives. It may be the same there as it is in most cold climates.

even the winter mix thickens up in the lines.... the stuff in the tank is fine, its just the lines that gel up. i have two tanks, so one gets the supplements and the other doesn't. in other words, i have a starting tank and a driving tank :)

I just spent $50 filling my Ranger the other day...and the tank still wasn't full. It probably would've only taken less than a gallon or so till it was though. It was $3.24 at the time. I think it's up to about $3.39 now. I'm definitely keeping the truck though. I only put about 5k miles a year on it, so I can still afford it.

I don't even use additives in the tank on the truck I haul it with. Even at -5, it doesn't gel on me.

is your truck garage kept by any chance?

Nope. It's a big ass fuel tanker. Parked out in the yard with 15 others. And I know there are no additives because we have our own 10k gallon ULSD tank on site that I fill.

I must have overlooked "haul with" earlier. Seems awefully strange must be the fuel here.

I know what you are saying about the Stang. My 88 5.0l with 93 gt cobra ecm can get up to 30 mpg running at 130-140 kmh and at 110 kmh I get 27-28 mpg. My f150 with the 4.6 get around 20-22 mpg when behaving and my 85 B2 with 2.8l sucks it back faster than I can fill it.
