Does your truck have the D35 or D28? The build date will tell you. After 11/89 has the good stuff.

You will be looking for a M code on the trans. That'll be the M5OD. Wonderfully geared 1st.

So good news! I have the D35 axle! So i take it mine was built AFTER 11/89? ALSO, where will this "M" be on the tranny?
