Actually Rangers are LUG-centric.
If the wheel uses lug nuts with a cone shape on one end, they're lug-centric.
Hub-centric rims have lugnuts that are flat, and are only used for securing the rim to the hub. This is what you'll find in dual rear wheel vehicles.
Backspacing. You may need a 1" or 1.5" adapter. There is a very recent discussion on this (link):
wheel spacers? good or bad lets hear it, but really if you're using them to achieve PROPER backspacing, not wider than normal, they're actually pretty good. The later Ranger rims are indeed deeper than earlier rims. How much? I don't recall.
4wd center holes traditionally have been larger than 2wd, but on the unit bearing, non-lockout hubs of the newer Rangers, again, these holes got smaller. However, it's not much of an issue. Take a pair of calipers to your Rangers hub and measure, take the rims to a machinist (tires off, they'll appreciate it), and have them turn it .010 bigger. Again, too big is not much of an issue because Rangers use conical lugs, but it is nice to get it really close.
