Hey everybody, first time on here. I am interested in buying a ranger and ideally I would want an fx4 package from 2008 or before, i work in the woods so can be on pretty rough, sloppy roads for alot of the time. Just wondering though if they are much different from a sport edition, in terms of off road capability or reliability. I am pretty tight for cash so saving a few thousand dollars off a truck can go along way for me.
Thanks
Teddy

Welcome Teddy! Well the fx4 would be the top of the line for off-road use. Come with the 4.10/torson rear and better shocks all standard. The sport can have a 3.55 open rear as standard. Height is a big difference also. In between is the off-road package that might be more in your price range. Has the higher height and the 4.10 gear standard. Lots of options can be had.

The early FX4 was fancy smancy, after that the FX4 Level II was pretty much the same thing and the regular FX4 was basically a sticker and shock kit like the previous Off-Road was.
