What's the difference. Thanks!

the FX4 is just the standard 4wd package....

The FX4 Level II has skid plates (gas tank, transfer case, & front diff), Bilstein shocks, 31 spline rear axle, and a Torsen limited slip diff...

The first year of FX4 (2002) were the same as the 2003 and later FX4 Level II's. I think last year they dropped the Level II's, but I don't know if the reverted back to the 2002 theory or not.

the Torsen is a gear driven limited slip where the standard L/S is a clutch unit..

Yes they did . At least here in Canada they did.

to a degree

my 07 level II has the skid plates, torsen, 31 spline, 4.10s, mine has 31x10.50 BFG A/Ts

as for the 08's i was talking to an owner of an FX4 It doesn't bare any level II badges however, as well they got that new yellow/orange color., i know now they get standard rancho shocks, it does have the torsen LS as well (not sure about skidplates) 4.10s 16'' rims (one type) and some shitty goodyear wrangler AT/S's

The Torsen LS is now an option on the regular FX4 Level I. I have a 2003 Level I with all the skid plates..... but only the 28 spline rear

Thats what I said. And yes, it does have the skid plates. The tires suck but it is my street DD.

aye, do you find that the rancho shocks are very good, i know the bilsteins in my 07 make the thing so subtle and ride like a dream, even going through rough shit, the truck holds its own and does pretty well.

I was considering an 06 FX4. Would the later model year have the above listed options?

as long as it is a FX4 Level II.....'07 was the last year the FX4 Level II was manufactured...in '08 those are options on the FX4....
