funny story (the ranger is a tough truck)

ok so i have been driving my dads ranger for a full two weeks now. But last night at 1130 pm, i found how tough the Ranger is. I'm sitting at my best friends house and we hear a knock on the door. it was about 11 at night so we freaked for a second. The neighbor dude said his wife hit my truck. WHAT!!! she hit a parked vehicle? So we got outside and i see my truck isn't where i parked it. ITS ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ROAD! As we walk to the truck, i see all these fluids on the ground, pieces of head light glass, plastic, etc. I'm like "it's done for i know it" So i get to the truck and find that the right front head light, marker light and fender are smashed in pretty good, but no other damage. The guy said his wife's car, a camry, was pretty much totaled. So we call the cops and start to figure out what happened. We find that the lady was WASTED. she hit my truck with the passengers side of her car and it spun to the other side of the road. But they can't charge her with DUI because she already went in and changed clothes. something about "in her effort to calm down she drank half a bottle of whiskey..." yea, right. But they charged her with leaving the scene. so i drove it home, and i wait to see what the estimate is and still laughing my head off that this drunk woman hit my parked truck! (my dad had three pretty major accidents in it) But it sure showed that Camry who's boss! (sorry for the long post)

I wish i coulda seen the other car but the lady done left the scene. jerk.

I'm going tomorrow to have the adjuster look at the damage. I hope they can fix it because I can't afford another vehicle. It drives ok so i don't think the frame is bent. I wonder what piece of crap they'll lend me to drive.

Yay! It's gonna get fixed!! Farm Bureau did the estimate and it is about 1200 bucks. Lady gave me a check and a voucher for a rental car at Hertz or Enterprise. Anybody got an idea what they'll give me? Challenger SRT8? Camaro SS? Mustang Boss 302? Probably another ranger...

i was screwing around with my buddies in my ranger driving in reverse down his street and stupidly hit an Alero. I was only going about 10 at the time and it totaled the car....i have just a tiny dent just above my rear bumper on the corner of my bed.

But honestly, it doesn't look like that damage is too bad to your truck, i know a new fender is about 120 bucks plus the paint, and what ever else you need done...if you do it yourself, you could make some good money..

EDIT...i should've said that its 120 bucks for my ranger, a 93...idk what it'll be for yours.
