Welcome Visitor! Please take a few seconds and Hey guys, long time reader here. I have an 89 b2 2.9 auto 4x4. Just recently put a new flexplate in due to the bolts stripping out on the old one. Lately I've noticed that sometimes 55mph in OD is 2000 rpms and other times its 2500. The torque converter IS locking up and its shifting through all the gears just fine. I can't find any reasons for this. New fluid and filter, Flexplate, complete front end. The motor and tranny are about a year old and never had a problem until the flexplate broke. Any ideas or advice is greatly appreciated.
