I have a 83 bronco, has a 89 460 out of an F450 with T19 out of an 85 F350. The bellhousing WAS a hydraulic bellhousing, I ground it smooth to clear all the mechanical linkages and stuff on my 83 bronco. Now, the clutch/pressure plate is a Hays super truck clutch kit. Everything is set properly, but here is my problem. When I depress the pedal, its the normal stiff of a mechanical clutch, then thump and I drop like an inch and the clutch disengages. Then I let up on the pedal and thump, it engages an VERY VERY harsh, there is no way on keeping it from stalling. I have to rev up to 1500 rpms atleast and I'm gonna seriously rip my driveshaft out. Something seriously is wrong, theres no "engagement" or "disengagement" play area to get moving. Its just thump, thump and that thump is all pressure plate movement....as if it gets enough pressure and just opens up, then closes. So is it possible that I have a hydraulic pressure plate and would that be the issue? My flywheel is for an 85 F350 460, what pressure plate can I use that's for mechanical clutch that will fit that flywheel and that's 11 inch? And its kind of stuck in a driveway now so I have to pull the trans or fix it asap. Thanks
