full size ranger ?

well, in my last port visit to Bahrain, i saw the coolest ranger ever. a full size 4 door ranger. kinda like the mini sport trac. i was wodering if has one or if anybody has seen one before. i took a few pictures and will post it later. but if anybody may have one id like to see if its the like the same one i saw, and if they are readily buyable?

ive heard of them, and i think i might of read it somwhere on here, that they dont sell them in the US because of safty regulations or sumtin like that... but id think itd be a sweet truck... if you cant get ahold of one, im sure someone out there could make their own out of a ext cab or sumtin...

Did it look like this? This was down in Mexico, made in Argentina and imported. Not many power options but did have the true four door cab. Wonder what it would cost to get one imported here in the states.

I was down in by Padre Island (south Texas) in November, and saw one in a grocery store parking lot. Came across from Mexico, they have a lot of stuff down there you never see here. My great uncle used to be State Patrol, and later a detective down there, recovering stolen cars from across the border, and said you can't license the majority of them over here, because they don't meet safety and emissions guidelines. Too bad, because up until about 10 years ago, you could buy brand new old style VW Beetles down there for around $1000!

not sure about the ranger in question but a buddy of mine had a Toyota cavilier 24Z (same exact thing as a Chevy cavilier Z24 execpt it was a right side drive) imported from japan and it ended up costing almost double (cost of car X 2) to get it here, but I think it was worth it for him cuz he loves the look on peoples faces when he is sitting next to them at traffic lights. I can't drive the durn thing to save my life, being that the shifter is in the left hand instead of the right. he pays more for the plates also cuz it has to have "collector" plates or something on it.

i saw a 4 door ranger in down town San Diego. it looked just like a regular 04+ ranger with 4 doors.
