full explorer to ranger drivetrain swap ?

ok i have an 83 4x4 2.8 5 speed highrider pkg 7.5 and D28 3L73 front and rear
i just picked up a 92 explorer 4.0 5 speed 8.8 and D35 of course 3L55 rear only 119,000 miles runs good i want to do an entire drivetrain swap motor trans tcase axles suspension dash everything i know everything will go in ok i have 3 immediate Qs do i need to extend my radius arms and do i need to drop my pivot points for the diff clearance and will the explorer drivelines go in without shortening no lift kit at all yet ?? everyones doing a motor or an axle so theres good advice on mix and match but i need it for a full swap out

Everything will bolt in except the rear driveshaft, it is the wrong length. Everything else you will not have problems with

is the swap worth it ? any way i could do away with the elect t-case controller and hook it up on toggle switches off the elect motor itself ive had to use a battery charger to get them out of 4 wheel when the controller goes out or will my old case mount to the explorer trans ? is the dash swap necessary ?

The dash swap wouldn't be necessary if you had a 2.9. Wiring is a tad different for the 2.8s and not as easy to modify to work.

As for the transfer case, what do you have now? Manual or Electric?

manual id like to stay manual less failure i could get an atlas but im budgeting for now

The 1350 cases don't last behind the 4.0. Look for a 1354 in a junk yard.

The 1354 was what the Explorer came with from the factory.

but it is electronic i want a manual tcase and trans will my 1350 out of the ranger bolt to the explorer trans ? i will worry about upgrades later

13-50, 13-54, 44-05. They all have the same bolt pattern.
