2.5L ('98-'01) Fuel

My Mazda b2500 has the 2.5l in it, and I've replaced the engine and plugs and wires and coil, I've been putting a lot of work into her, I found that my fuel pressure regulator is having issues and looked up to see how much a replacement is, and I found that you can't get one, anyone know where to look for a new replacement fuel pressure regulator would be?

I believe it has a returnless fuel system. So only one regulated fuel line to the fuel rail.

The regulator is part of the in tank sender/pump assembly.

The regulator is on the fuel rail, and I believe that the original one is not closing back up as quick as it should causing the engine to load up on heavy throttle such as trying to get out of the way of others, causing it to stumble and even die out, it's a reman motor with less than 10k new plugs wires and coil,

Starting in '98 the regulator moved to by the fuel tank, unless somehow you have two fuel lines running to the fuel rail from someone swapping parts from a '97 or something odd...

Fuel pressure regulators can't be laggy like you are talking about, the only way for that to happen is if the system is returnless (or regulated at the tank) and there is a restriction after the regulator.

A damper wouldn't have a return line coming out the back or a vacuum line... odd, probably a half year thing like Ford likes to do... Unless someone's been in there before, in that bolt hole for the upper intake manifold to the lower manifold there should be a bolt in there... It is almost 25 years old, unless you've had it this whole time someone could have put a '95-97 2.3L in there for some reason but it would be a lot of work to redo the whole fuel system... I'd go with the half year thing... I'm not up on what the fuel pressures should be, all my junk seems to either work or be broken bad enough to tell easy enough...
