I've pulled the fuel tank about 3 times now but always pulled the bed because I couldn't see an easy way of connecting and tightening the filler neck hose. I was wondering if it's possible and how you guys pull a gas tank with the bed on. I'm fed up with trying to patch this tank and gonna try and find another.

I've done it both ways but I know the easiest is with the bed off. the filler neck should be attached and tightened before the bed goes back on...

Because the neck is a bit more flexible than the body it's easy to bend it up and under to attach to the filler opening. If you leave the bed loose while doing all that it makes it a bit easier to shift things as needed...then align it before tightening.

I don't like lying under the truck so if you have a hoist it might be easier to work on the tank from underneath...but you still need to raise and lower it at least once...maybe more.
