anyone know what the capacity is on a 93 ranger v6 4.0? regualr cab.
fuel sending unit is shot and gas gauge doesn't work.
thanks in advance

if its a long bed, it may be a 19 gallon. if its a short bed its definitely a 16 gallon.

It will say in your owners manual if I'm not mistaken.

I know my 93 4.0L 4wd has, I think, a 20.1, or 20.9 gallon tank.

I've put over 19 gallons in it a time or two. But, I also have an extended cab, not a regular cab.

thanks, don't have the owners manual, regular cab, regualr bed. I'm goin to go with 16.
anybody have the sending unit so i can fix my gas guage?

so i filled up today. 17.443 was what it took. got about 19 MPG. down from 23 MPG my first fill up.

May not be the sender. It is a more common problem that the detachable float has filled with gas and sunk. It is about $12 from the stealership and simply snaps on and off.

My tank (2002 ex cab) holds 19.5

The sender is available aftermarket. I just bought one with a new pump for $80 something.
