Fuel Relay getting hot?

Have an 87 ranger with a v6- truck runs for a while then stalls- then when I try the ignition the relay does not come on after about 2 minutes the relay will come back and the truck starts fine-bad relay? relay getting hot? bad ground? anyone ever had this issue?

replace the relay and if problem goes away relay was your problem if not start looking into fuel system (filter, pump etc..) check fuel pressure..
