I know the 2.3 needs 40psi at idle. I'm not an engine guy, so I don't want to buy wrong part. I'm putting a fuel cell in with pump.

Anyone got a link to a easy to install compatible regulator for me?

pump

It depends on what your doing carb, fuel injected early 2.3 with fuel return line or late duratec with no return line, they all have different requirments, please more info:icon_confused:

You can use the existing FPR(fuel pressure regulator) in most cases, assuming the new tank has a return line fitting.

You need to get the specs for the included fuel pump, most are made for EFI systems so can provide 30-40psi.

If it is a low pressure pump(for carb) you can add an external high pressure pump in the frame rail and still use the existing FPR.

Also make sure the fuel gauge sending unit is correct for your Fuel Gauge, Ford used two different versions:
Empty-Full
73-10 Ohms for 1988 and earlier
16-158 Ohms for 1989 to present

Its a stock 2.3 efi, with return line, just throwing a fuel cell with inline pump in the new backhalf.

Then your factory regulator on the rail should continue to function in it's current capacity.
