fuel pump???

Hey guys. I've got a 1990 bronco ii now. Its got the 2.9 litre in it and it runs good. the question i have is about when i start it. If i jump in and try to start it, it rolls over like 30 times before it actually starts. If i turn the key on 5-6 time it will roll over like 2 time and start. I assume my fuel system is losing pressure but i don't see any leaks anywhere. Could it be my fuel pump or my pressure regulator?? Any help or things to test would be great. Dont wanna be stranded somewhere when it won't start sometime.

pull the vacuum line off the regulator and see if there is fuel in it. if so replace the reg.

ditto on the fuel in the vaccum line on the regulator, if its wet its bad , if its dry its good, check or change the o-rings on the injector rail. also start spraying lube on all the bolts that hold your tank up. change fuel filter while the lube is soaking in. if the filter and o-rings doesnt fix it change the pump. also ask your friends if any of them have a fuel pressure guage, if you find one check how fast and what pressure it goes to. that will most likely tell you if you need to change the pump.

i checked the vacum line and no gas in it. I chached the fuel filter and it looks fairly new (still shiny) Last week it started working good agian so i stopped investigating. but just yesterday it started acting up again and i have to prime the pump everytime i start it again.

My regulator was bad and it didn't have gas in it....I even took it to a shop but it didn't mess up while they were checking things. Then I found out my cousin had a pressure tester and the FPR was bad. Sounds like at least the check valve in the fuel pump is bad but it shouldn't take so long to start even if it is so something else is probably wrong also besides that.
