Hello. First post!
I have a 2006 Ford Ranger with the 3.0.
The fuel pump is shot. (At 75k on the clock btw) I plan to replace the pump itself and not the entire module assembly. Mostly because of cost, and the fact that my unit is fully functional other than the dead pump. Ideally I would like to get a Motorcraft assembly but I simply can't afford that right now..
I do have a new in box Walbro 255lph fuel pump but it is not recommended to be used in a returnless fuel system.. Although from what I understand my truck has a Mechanical returnless fuel system with a regulator in the tank. Would the Walbro over power the regulator? Beyond that, would there be any other issues with the walbro?
If not the Walbro, does anyone have any thoughts or opinions as to what pump to use?
I see numerous brands and they all have either terrible reviews or seriously conflicting reviews lol.
Any input is greatly appreciated.
Thanks guys
