hey i found a fuel pump for my 1988 bronco 2 the in tank pump is shot but i found a complete tank and pump from a 91 ranger will it work???

Is the plug the same their might be a difference in the fuel level sensor and that is a high pressure pump the 88 had only one pump also I believe they went to a single pump system in 87 but not sure someone here will chime in.

my bronco has a pump on the frame rail and in the top of the tank

I am pretty sure the 91 is a high pressure pump in the tank if you can do it you dont need the one on the rail under the drivers seat and you still have the guage issue.

The 91 pump is a single pump system and won't work correctly in a '88 with a dual pump system as it is.

okay so i tracked down a 88 ranger with dual tanks and the in tank pumps are the same i believe so this should work right?

If it has two fuel pumps the one in the tank is low pressure I did some looking in my chiltons and in 89 they changed to a single fuel pump system
