of frist of my truck is 1987 ford ranger 4x4.

i drove the truck home last night no problems. got in it to day and it just turns over. cheacked the fuel rail and iam not getting fuel at all. i can here the relay clicking for the fuel pumps but they are not working. what is the problem?:pissedoff:

You hear the relay. You don't hear the pumps? Check the fuel filter. Check the roll over protection, passenger side foot well close to where your left foot would rest under the carpet. You can bypass with a piece of wire. Check the wiring going to both pumps, one is in tank, the other is on the frame rail close to under where the e-brake is, IIRC behind a metal bracket. The fuel filter will be in the same area. It's an old truck and the fuel pumps don't work forever unfortunately.
Good luck,

Richard

the roll over protection has been bypassed for a long time now and i just replaced the fuel filter. its dark here so i will have to work on it tomorrow. thanks though ill let u know what it is when i find it.
