Does anyone know the wiring for this fuel pump? I just bought a replacement plug from Ford today. The one that was in there was toasted. Their was only a quarter inch cube of plastic left.

Here are the wires.

Here is where it is to be plugged.

Thanks for any help.

what year? I think they changed the wire colors randomly... my bed is covering mine or I'd look for ya, and I'm too far away from the spare truck that the bed isn't bolted down on...

Ok, It shows a ground and pink/blk for the motor going to the ignition switch. Then it shows Yellow and white going to the fuel gauge with a ground. It doesnt give a specific plug wiring info.

Sorry, but I just reread your post...so you already have the connector? Won't it pop into place or is it that you cannot get the wires to plug into it???

My original post was: Either go to a wreckers and pull one from a similar model or wire it without the connector...as in solder connectors to the sending unit that you can attach the existing wires too...

I haven't forgotten you. I'm doing some checking, be right with you.

Ok, here goes.
I have a sending unit from a '88 here in front of me.I just checked and the wiring is the same. Looking at it the same direction as in your pic, the one on the far left is motor ground, the one next to it is motor hot, the next one goes to the gauge and the next is grounded to the unit. Here's a pic. The blk is motor ground(bk), red motor hot(pnk/blk), small blk to gauge(yel/wht). I'm not sure were the org goes, it is not shown in he wiring diagrams.

Jorley. I appreciate the information and the picture. I'm going to try it ASAP. Probably this afternoon. Thanks for the help!
