fuel pump not cutting in

so which pump is the one that you hear going when you turn the key? the one in the chassis or in the tank?
when i turn my key all i hear is the little pump relay click, and no pump. and the truck hasnt been going in a while so she was just sitting in my garage and yesterday it work so she hasnt been moved around or drove around, and i dont think i screwed with it as far as i know

The one on the frame is the high pressure pump, so it should be the one you hear when you turn the key.

Does it have power when the key is on? Did you check the inertia switch?

just because the relay clicks won't automatically mean it passing voltage...a better sign for sure...also have the TFI (aka ignition module) tested

check the grounds and connections
