Hey Guys!
My name is Katy and I am having an issue.
I have a 2002 Silverado 1500 and the fuel pump blew and I just replaced it! Now....
It won't start!!!!!
The lines are proper, the connectors are proper, there's gas!
It sounds like she wants to start but she won't.
It's really hard to describe how it sounds.
When I put a little gas directly into the throttle body she starts up just fine but of course, when the $1.00 worth of gas is ran through..she stops. So this tells me the fuel pump would be working and placed in properly? Or could this means the wiring might be wrong? I am not sure. I am STUMPED!
Of course, I can call a mechanic, but here in Canada, being a girl and all, I will be paying out my A$$! So I am trying everything but...maybe your expertise could help me?
The only thing I haven't tried was checking the PSI to make sure the pressure is getting the fuel to the motor. (which it very well can be...but can I do this on my own? and how??)
When I check the throttle body, there is no gas fume's nor is she soaked with fuel. What could that be?
Any input you may have could potentially fix my problem!
I have 2002 Silverado 1500
Thanks for your time
Katy
