My buddy has a 2nd gen (92-97) Aerostar with the 3.0 and the fuel pump is gone. He's flat broke and can't afford a new one, so I'm wondering if someone would be able to tell me if the flow rate put out by the fuel pump on my 87 Ranger with a 2.9 would be enough to run his 3.0 efficiently. I tried searching it, but there were about 9834702089759 threads dealing with fuel pumps. Thanks in advance.

Most 86-88 Rangers had a 2 fuel pump design. Intank is a low pressure pump and the frame rail pump is a high pressure pump. That Aerostar likely just has a single high pressure intank pump.

You're absolutely correct. Thank you for correcting my oversight. (Hey, it's early up here. Leave me alone. :icon_twisted: )
