Fuel Pressure Loss

88 ranger with the 2.9 has and holds 32psi fuel when first cranked....at exactly the 5min mark starts dropping until it gets so low, it cuts off.....I can wait 2/3min, crank it back, it's right back at 32 for about 5secs, then drops again until engine dies....I inherited this truck and looking for a place to start....no check engine light is on while it runs good for the 5min , thanks in advance

Start with fuel pressure regulator. Its the easiest fix 2 bolts and insert it Might have a bad diaphragm
