fuel line snapped !

I decided to drop my fuel tank for saftey reasons to patch some holes in the cargo area. when I lowered my tank about four inches to unhook my fuel lines one snapped off right at the quick disconnect. how do I repair this line ?

Also when I got the tank out I noticed two wet spots about the size of a quarter in the top corners. I scraped the dirt off these little indent areas and found pin holes. I was thinking Jb weld and paint . sound ok?

They sell proper steel fuel tank sealants, like this one: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-900056-4/overview/

If it is a plastic tank, they sell sealants for those too, although I have heard of people using PVC pipe glue successfully. It can melt the tank plastic letting you mold over the pinholes.
