I'm in the middle of a frame repair on my 98 Ranger took the bed off and in the process of dropping the tank off, the spring lock fitting from the tank to the filter was a pain in the butt getting lose.. When I did get it lose I messed up the hose that goes from the fitting to the metal end of the line.. My first thought was that I would have to buy a new line, but searching around I've seen different places that have fittings that clamp into the hose and locks back in place like the oem fitting to the tank... Will this work instead of buying a new line?????

It will work if the proper installation tools are used. However, it'll probably be cheaper for you to get the tank to filter lines from the junkyard...
