Anyone else having problems with their nylon fuel lines. Mine was leaking a small amount of gas a few months ago. It was like sweating gas so I took the fuel harness out and cut out the leaking part and and spliced in a new piece of line. I used products from Dorman. I suspect the leak was caused by ethanol in the gas eating through the nylon.

Is your engine and fuel system designated as "Flex-Fuel"?... or are you just referring to some seasonal/regional blend that has <10% ethanol?

AFAIK, the 8th character of your VIN will be a "V" if it *IS* Flex, and a "U" if it can't handle E85.

My 3.0 IS Flex, but I've never found or used E85. Thinking about replacing all the fuel lines anyway, 'cause they're NINE years old. Will go with "Flex" rated lines, because they won't care how much ethanol the gov't or refiners are sneaking into the brew.

Where I live all the gas is E-10 or 10% ethanol. My truck is not a FFV.
