Not sure if this is 5he right spot to post this but I have a 91 ranger 4.0. Ext cab. Just bought it. Found out it had a fuel leak...coming from top of tank and leaking down the front drivers side of tank and along frame. It had a little under 1/4 tank in it. It leaks when the truck is running and after you shut it off for a bit but afte ri5 sits for about 10 to 15 the leak slows to a stop. I'm working on removing the bed to get to top of tank. Got 3 bolts out, 3 snapped off. Stuck on last one...which happens to be the one above the fuel pump and leak. I cant grind it off. Trying to drill the head off but besides all that. Any ideas on where the leak it and such? The pump? A seal? Additionally it has a slight rough idle.

it sounds a lot like your sending unit rotted out. I would just take a hose to the top of the tank and soak it down real good then cut the bolt head off with a grinder, being careful to not cut through the bed.

Found the leak...can I just patch this with a barb and nylon hose?
