Fuel Injection

Ok so i am looking to do the fuel injection for the 2.8. The carb stuff just confuses me to much so i thought i would just go with the fuel injection. so my question is, will i have to have a switch for the converter lock up like for the duraspark? I have an 85 with the a4ld.

I would think you would need a switch as all the vehicles that had tbi and were automatics didn't have any electronics controlling the transmissions. I could be wrong though.
