ok so I replaced the sending unit for the fuel tank in my 84 ranger 2.8 and I was trying to figure out where the wires for the stock gauge are on the plug on the back of the dash panel. Does anyone know what number it is on the plug or where it comes into the cab so i can splice into it for the new gauge? I do not want to take the tank down or the bed off. is there another way?

On the connector on the back of your instrument cluster the wire from the fuel sending unit is number 1 and it should be yellow.

ok so i spliced into the wire and I have my ground ignition switch and sender wire all hooked up to the gauge and it isnt working
