I have a question about the fuel gauge in my 2003 Ranger. The fuel gauge seems to be off by a few gallons. In the past two fill ups I've been averaging just under 15mpg (not bad for 60% city driving with 4Hi on 25% of the time), this isn't an issue to me but my fuel gauge seems to be inaccurate. When I got the truck the gauge read at about 1/8 tank, I filled it up and it took 13.8 gallons. Next fill up the fuel gauge was reading a little under 1/2 a tank and it took 6.8 gallons to fill up. The last fill up it was reading at a little over 1/3 tank and took 9 gallons. So the gauge seems to be off by a few gallons. I'm sure this is not entirely uncommon but I was wondering if there is anything I can do to make my fuel gauge more accurate. Thanks.
