Fuel Filter

ok need to change fuel filter on 02' 3.0 the filter has 3 lines nad has the green clips, i have the tool for it but on the fron side of the filter(1 hose) it seems to be to close to the filter i cant get the tool in there, and i cant move it to fit either, any advice?

No need for a tool...IIRC you just squeeze the green clip and it releases.

Not sure how the '02 rangers are, my '00 has three lines on the filter with clips. You have to pull the clips off (I usually get a small flat screwdriver under it and pop it up and off), then wrap a rag around the hose, then pull it out and wiggle it a lil to get it worked off. No need for a tool on them anymore. But keep the tool handy if you ever think you'll have to take the lines off the engine, those fittings usually have the "garter belt" style connections (and are also usually a major PITA).
