While I had the tank out of my 93 I decided I would order a new filler neck hose because the original one had some cracks in the base.
I bought the new one from rockauto ultra power brand. Well when I put it side by side with the old one the outer hose is a few inches longer. Do these hoses usually require trimming to fit? Should I return/exchange the hose for a different brand?
Thanks for the help

They probably make them that length to cover a wide variety of models. Just make it look like the old one. Start with the gas cap end, you could probably loosen the clamp and just push the hose on more. Then test fit or commit to chopping off the tip of the long, skinny, black hose.

Right on I’ll try that, thanks I appreciate the help!

Just take your time. A black hose of that size can be quite intimidating, and .. Ok Ok I'll stop, I'll stop. I swear I'm not a 12yr old

there is about 3-4" difference between flare side and fleet side. one part fits all worked for me.
