Fuel cell under stock bed floor

I didnt really find alot about this when searching the site before starting to install mine so I figured I would share my "bro fab"

Been working on installing an RCI 16 gallon fuel cell and can between the rear frame rails.

I cut and welded a copy of Speedway Motors fuel cell bracket from 1x1 1/8 wall mild steel tube.

The Speedway Motors bracket below.... (The picture shows the RCI cell mounted)

Here are a few pics of the DW200 pump and DIY slosh tank.......




The return line will fill the smaller side of the tank then spill into the side with the pickup screen. I think......

Wouldn't filling the cell with foam would accomplish the same effect ?

This is to keep the fuel pump pickup screen covered in fuel to avoid pump caviation when the fuel sloshes around the tank.

Foam would not keep a "pool" of fuel at the screen. Foam could be added but I won't be at this time.

the "slosh" tank, (maybe a bad name for it LOL) is visable in the cutout photo below.

Ah, surge tank. Usually a circle track thing I assumed. I just stuck a butterfly pickup in a corner of the cell on my truck, never has a starvation issue.
