I have a 99 4.0 ranger and I want to get rid of the factory tank. What options for fuel cells are there and what's needed to be able to still have a working fuel gauge as well. At one time I seen someone making custom tanks that mount in the factory location but tucked so it didn't hang below the frame. Any kind of help would be appreciated. Pics of your set up. Parts I need anything.

Welcome to TRS :)

Your current fuel gauge on the dash uses these OHM readings
16 ohms EMPTY
160 ohms FULL

You can find universal senders that fit Ford parmeters, i.e. 10-empty, 180-full

isspro.com will also make you a custom sender to match exact parameters and cell depth. thats what i used when i placed a jaz "jeep speed" cell in my truck
