hey, got a 87 ranger ex cab, 4x4, 2.9L
problem is with the front turn signals...they work with no lights on, and they don't work with any lights on (park/headlights).
the rear works fine with the exception of the LH rear light....the turn signal is barely noticeable with the lights on, works fine with no lights. the RH side rear is fine, no issues on that whatsoever.
ive pulled the connector on the rear, still have the same issue up front. checked all the fuses, and they are fine. replaced every bulb in that truck with new ones.
i have a haynes manual and have been looking at the diagram in the back of the book. ive been trying to figure out where i could have a ground issue (thats what im thinking it is.) the one thing ive noticed is a lamp out module in the schematic. what exactly is this?? ive never heard of it and have absolutely no clue on where to look for that. i would like to check the ground on that since it is all connected at some point in time.
I figure a ground most likely after the light switch since it only has this porblem with lights on.
im a total idiot when it comes to wiring and any help would be appreciated. ive also pulled the light switch out, made sure it was clean no broken wires, and ive pulled the column pieces to look at the turn signal switch, but it looks fine as well.
