Just a question here..........I know that you can buy 2 and 3 inch drop springs for my 2001 but is there a spring that you can use that is stock from another ford or whatever that can give you 2 inches. Thought about that today and couldnt come up with anything. Thanks for the help !

nope don't think so.

no the only drop coil i know of that ford ever made was the 1" drop coils on the Ibeam splash trucks

Sweet.

Where is this torsion bar you speak of?

The bar with the boot on it is what i was told by the mech. ??? But thought that was what was used for the power steering to turn the wheels but i am no genuis by no means ! lol

Yeah, that is part of your steering system.

Your mechanic shouldn't be allowed to operate anything more complicated than a ham sandwich.

If you has torsion bars, they would look lika this:

Thanks for the help ! Now with the 3' drop coil springs i found will i have a prob. keeping the alinment or will it go out often ?

yes you will have alignment issues with 3" drop springs, just save up and get the 4/5 kit!

wow i would neer take anything to him again lol. Even if you had both it would have fitting spring ratios and wow that would ride like crap. But yea 4/5 it you will be happier!

No he's not my mech.. I was getting new tires on and thats what he told me. I was not going to stand there an argue with a mech.. Most mech. think we are dumb asses.
