front LSD

I know some units fit, but I am not sure if the year or the carrier break makes a difference. There is info on here, so I'd do a search.

The carrier from any Jeep D35 rear will fit your Ford TTB D35, but it must be the "Hi-Ratio" (3.55up) carrier for it to work, regardless of what your Ford's ratio is.

Some of the jeep d35's are c-clip and some are not, does that make a difference or will either fit?

Shouldn't matter. The TTB D35's clip is not a typical c-clip, it's more like a self-retained E-clip and needs no recess within the side gear of the diff.

Are the shaft sizes and spline count the same on either axle?

Not sure how it could possibly fit if they weren't... :icon_confused:

In that case it should be possible to put an lsd from a c-clip jeep axle into a non c-clip axle. I've asked this question before but have never had a definitive answer. The reason I would like to know is because I have an lsd from a jeep c-clip axle on my workshop floor. My son has a jeep with a non c-clip axle and I have my exploder. Can't figure out which one to put it into if it will fit in either.

Yes, the c-clip carrier should fit a non-c-clip axle fine (but not vice-versa, obviously)

Read this.

my son's jeep has 3:73, my explorer has 3:73 and the lsd I have on the floor came from an axle that was geared 3:73. Thanks guys, now I just have to figure out who's truck it will be going into.

i ran a new spicer tac- loc in the front of mine. junkie is right about needing the higher ratio break carrier. it actually worked pretty well.

Well the best LSD out there is Quaife Diff.

They do make one that fits 1998-up Rangers. Down side is the cost is it 1100.00 to 1500.00 depending on which vendor. Lockers in the front are not the best specially 2000-up Rangers that turn all the time. Or like me on my 1999 I changed mine to Exp stuff.

I wonder if somehow do a group buy to get the price down
