I want to raise the front of my 2wd ranger to help with rubbing issues from my 31x10.50's. I only need an inch or so of lift so I thought I would try the f-150 coil spacers. Question is what size are the bolts that retain the spring and the radius arm. I figure I need to purchase longer bolts to make this work but it would be nice to do so ahead of time so I can put it back together same day.

i just pulled a set last week i'll make you a drawing

i went and pulled mine at a junkyard they were free b/c i was getting other stuff *bring pb blaster i did mine with out but it would have made a world of difference

where are you rubbing? cause mine rubs on the sway bar

Mine rubs only in tight turns especially when turning into my driveway which has a steep incline on the inner fender wells. I have also been traveling down the freeway at 70 mph or so and hit some large dips that have caused the tire to rub for a second

I measured the factory bolt and it appears to be about 8 3/4" long what I cannot determine is the diameter of the bolt. I figure if I go with a 10 long bolt I should be covered. If I remember right from the picture above the bolt has a 1 1/8" head which I believe is usually a 3/4 diameter bolt just wondering if anyone can confirm this.

Does anyone know for sure if the above stud circled in black needs to be replaced on a 2wd? If so does anyone have a part number or anything? I have a stud extender on mine but im not sure if the spacer will fit over it

it is a 3/4 " dia bolt i went and got a 3/4" by 10" but the threaded end was not threaded enough to accommodate the bottom nut it will need to be replaced on a 2wd.

the same bolt from a 4wd or from an f150 will work

Okay thanks. I kinda figured just wasnt sure. Im guessing that a stud extender wouldnt work either.

Is it a Stud or Bolt? What is the thread size? also SAE or Metric Bolt? fine or coarse thread?

Thanks,
Jason
