Front end swap question

Hey guys i know if you switch to the 98+ front on a 94-97 truck you also need to swap the core support but i may being buying a 01 ranger that needs a front clip so i was hoping to switch to the 01 mazda front clip, would i still need to switch the core support? Thanks
