Hi all,

I have a broken steering knuckle. The top part of the one piece casting that connects to the upper control arm is cracked, bad. That's all the damage I could find.
I have a few questions, first of all is it okay to use a wrecker replacement, instead of going to Ford? They want 380 bucks! Second, is there any way to get around renting/buying the hub lock puller?
I have to do this on the cheap as I'm laid off and got no dough.

It should be ok to use a junkyard piece as long as you inspect it thoroughly and make sure it isn't cracked as well. What year is the truck? Also what hub lock puller are you referring to?
