Perhaps I made the title seem too urgent but I have a question that could use an answer. Let me say I am new to this website and driving as well. I am 16 and I just purchased an 04 B4000 and I am very pleased with it. Anyway, this question is fairly universal so I figure someone can figure it out. I was looking under my truck and it appears that the previous owner made some modifications (or maybe stock, thats why I'm asking) to the truck. It looks as though they bolted on the steering brackets that are attached to the axle about an inch lower on the chassis on both sides. It seems as though it lifts the front a little though many components still sit at factory (maybe?) height. The first picture is of the driver side re-mounting and the second is to show what hangs under the truck. It doesn't really seam like a serious matter and has no effect on the driving, but I just wanted to know the persons motives. Thank you

Are you speaking of the torsion bar crossmember?

I can't tell anything in those pics (first one is too small)

Perhaps. My town is a puddle so I will try to upload better pictures tomorrow. Does anything sound unusual so far, or is it standard for the cross member to be re-mounted?
